AUGUST
August was the month that Jordan started his senior year and I went back to work.

Taylor had her 6th Birthday. Can't believe she is in 1st grade this year and getting so big and such a beautiful young girl.

I was able to go for a weekend to Park City with my long-time friend, Jenae. We had a great time. We met up with Stacy and Jamie who also came up for the day. We went on the Alpine Slide and Roller Coaster and went out to eat and went shopping. We ended up by seeing a movie, "Julie and Julia". It was tons of fun!! Good to get away.

JULY
4th of July we went to Justin's for a barbeque and then watched Justin do fireworks in their street. We had a sleepover with the kids and had breakfast with them in the morning. We had a fun time!!

A few days later, Stacy returned home from New Jersey with her boyfriend, Jamie. They moved into the condo. A few days later, I took Stacy, Jamie and Jordan and my mom to St. George. I took mom to her neice, Naoma's place to stay and we stayed in Gary's cousin, Linda's condo there. It was really nice. We went to the Grand Canyon, Zions Park and saw a play at the Toucan. We all had a fun time there!! Jamie and Jordan hiked up the highest mountain in Zion Canyon, Angels Landing. They both said they loved it.

Later in the month, the family went camping to Tony Grove in Logan canyon.

Justin also had his 32nd birthday on the 28th.
In June, school ended. Jordan was done with school for the summer and that meant I was on vacation too. I spent the month of June getting the condo ready for Stacy and Jamie to move into when they came home in July.
I also got a chance to go back to New Jersey to see Stacy and the sights again before Stacy returned home.

We also had a DeMill Reunion. We have it in June to celebrate mom and dad's wedding anniversary which is June 14th. We had a fun time getting together with extended family. The guys fixed a dutch oven breakfast and had games and activities for the kids. It was a little hard because our dear dad wasn't there with us. But I know in spirit he was.

JUNE

It was also a time to honor our fathers. I am so grateful for my dad and the life he led. I miss him terribly. He was a wonderful father and I love him so much.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD!!

The family all got together a week after Father's Day to see their dad on Father's Day. Gary is a wonderful dad and grandpa. The grandkids love him so much! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, Gary!!

2009 at a glance the past 8 months

After getting some proding from Nicole to finish my blog for the year 2009, I decided to get busy and update. I'll try to capture of few moments in time for the past 8 months in the year 2009..
MAY
May was the month for honoring our Mothers. I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful mother as my mom. She is the best example to me and to all of us. She has been through so many trials in her lifetime and has endured to the end and is still enduring. She is my Angel Mother. I love her so much!!

On Mother's Day, my family gave me a wonderful gift and that was that everyone of my family came and went to church with me. I felt truly blessed to have them all do that for me and loved having them all there.

Stacy's birthday was the 19th. She was still in New Jersey and we missed not having her for her 23rd Birthday. This is the kids Stacy nannied and was wishing her a Happy Birthday!

Easter Weekend

We had a fun Easter Weekend consisting of my mom spending time with us and having the kids come for our Easter get together. My mom spent Thursday until Sunday with us. It was nice to have her here. It had been almost a year since she had been up here. The little grandkids loved spending time with their great grandma. On Saturday, Justin's family came up and along with the other kids (with the exception of Stacy who we missed!)we all hung out. The grandkids colored Easter eggs and had an Easter egg hunt which they all came out pretty good with lots of goodies! Luckily, the weather held out for us that afternoon so we were able to spend it outdoors for most of the afternoon. On Sunday, we had an early Easter dinner because we had to take mom back home. It was a nice weekend and especially since we had spring break from Thursday till Monday, so Jordan and I didn't have work or school. It made it for a nice long weekend.

The Passing of My Dad

February 14, 1923 - February 6, 2009

My dad passed away a little over a week ago. I was able to be there with him when he died, along with my mom, brother, sister and niece. It was a very spiritual experience for me and my family. Nicole and Jenny has given my dad a very wonderful tribute in their blogs. My dad was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I love him so much. I couldn't have asked for a better father and mother. I have been truly blessed to have them as my parents. I know he is in a better place where he was received by many loved ones. I will always shed a tear for you daddy because you will always be missed and because I know you are happy and free of pain. Someday, you will even be happier when you are there to greet your sweetheart when the time comes. Mom and Dad have been together for almost 59 years and together they are one forever and forever!!
